We believe that the Lord God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that they are co-equal.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ willingly offered up His own life as a ransom for our sins through the shedding of His blood on the Cross, though He knew no sin, thereby, conquering sin and death.

We believe He died in the flesh, was buried, and rose on the third day according to the Scriptures. Thereby putting an end to death and giving us the promise of eternal life.

We believe He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father and that He will return again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but we are all born with a sinful nature through Adam, and we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

We believe salvation is through Jesus alone, that we are saved by grace through faith, and not by works.
We believe in order to become saved; we must confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that the Father raised Him from the dead.

We believe that through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are grafted into the Cultivated Olive Tree thereby becoming citizens of the spiritual Commonwealth of Israel, being partakers of the covenant of promise.

We believe after we have accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts, we enter a lifelong process of conforming to His image through obeying His Word.

We believe the first obedient act that we are called to do in our sanctification is baptism, and through baptism, we are buried with Him, in which we were also raised with Him through faith.

We believe the Bible, the 66-book canon, is the infallible Word of God, it is inspired by the Holy Spirit, it is our highest rule for our faith, and it is profitable for teaching, conviction, restoration, and training in righteousness.
We believe it is every believer's responsibility to read and study the Bible for themselves; to hear His voice, to learn His Word, to do His will, and to walk in covenant relationship with Him

                                                           WE PRACTICE

                                                                            The Feasts

We keep the biblical holidays as commanded in Scripture. The Lord's holidays including Passover (The feast Unleavened Bread), Pentecost (Shavuot), Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), The other festivals that we celebrate are Purim, and the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah). These particular holidays are not formal sabbaths, rather they are memorials, celebrating God's deliverance of His people in history. While we are not a Messianic Assembly, we believe it is important to understand God's appointed feasts and festivals. During this time, we enjoy fellowship and learning about our Hebraic Roots.

                                                CHURCH STRUCTURE

                                      Leadership

We practice Appointment. This means that our community appoints elders instead of voting congregationally. We believe that this is what we see as the practice of Jesus, the Apostles, and Moses

Appointment is about choosing righteous and God-fearing men, who are full of the Holy Spirit to be leaders.

                                Marriage

We practice biblical marriage. This means that we will only condone and consider conducting a wedding for a monogamous heterosexual couple who are equally yoked in the Lord.

                                      Dress Code/Conduct

Being a part of God’s kingdom, we have an obligation to honor the Lord and one another by how we dress and to not be a stumbling block for our fellow sisters and brothers. Here are some basic guidelines to keep the atmosphere at Sword of the Lord Assembly conducive to holiness as we gather to worship the Lord together.
